2 Books in The Works

I wanted to quickly update everyone since I got quiet for a while. I have 2 books in the works. One is a novel and the other is a healthy lifestyle book.

The novel that I'm working on (working title is 'Night Blooms of Damascus') is going to be worked on heavily for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month - November). If you participate and want to friend me, here is my profile. HERE. It's a thriller/suspense novel. I'm still outlining stuff, planning certain details...all that good stuff.

I don't want to really get into what the novel is about until I'm deep into it. Part of NaNoWriMo is designing a cover, so I did that. It's not exactly what I want, but it's a good mock up. Let me know if you like the general idea of it.

The healthy lifestyle book came about unexpectedly. As you might know, I have goals of competing as a bodybuilder (probably in the figure division). Lately I found Swolenormous on youtube. Papa Swolio is super blunt, super factual, and he says stuff that I have wanted to say. One day, I felt like I had something to say and created a new *.doc file in Google Drive; the next thing I know it has chapters. I started this on 9/17 and I'm already around 120 pages. I thought it was just going to be some sort of word vomit that I'd end up deleting or maybe it could be something worthy of a blog post. I was not expecting a book to emerge!

I don't know if I'm going to publish the healthy lifestyle book. I think I'll end up having some people take a look at it so I can collect some feedback. It's not even ready yet, so there's also that. I think it's important to tell you that I find this book VERY cathartic to write. It's also very interesting to see what emerges from my brain. Not that I don't know my own brain, I just have never put my thoughts on a healthy lifestyle down on paper before. It's based on collecting your own health data and goes on from there.

Through this weird COVID-19 pandemic, I really hope everyone keeps themselves busy by creating something - art, food, writing, a better body, etc. What have you been doing this pandemic? Obviously, I'm just working, writing, and hitting the gym.
