OCTOBER

  • Boo-Tanical Bar - Oct 15th, 3pm-7pm. Hawks Greenhouse, North Pole. Mad scientist themed. Come join in our madness and create a mad scientist terrarium* or sand art terrarium. Enter in our costume contest, enjoy light refreshments, snap a picture or a few at our photo station, You'll be sure to have a scary good time! Family friendly costume contest-Mad Scientist theme.   • Harvest Festival & Craft Show - Tanana Valley Fair Grounds - Badger Hall. October 16 (10a-6p) and 17 (11a-4p).

  • Zombie Prom 2021 - October 16. 10pm-2am @ Big I. Join us at the Big I in your best zombie prom attire. Music, dancing & drinks all night! $10 @ the door or $5 in advance. Facebook

  • Halloween At The Museum - October 21-31. UAF Museum of The North. Visit anytime between October 21-31 to participate in a spooky scavenger hunt, snap a selfie at our photo op, and enter to win a prize! Prize drawing to be held November 1.   • 3rd Annual Haunted House - Tanana Valley Fair Grounds - Badger Hall. October 22-29. $5 entry, cash only. Website

  • Drive In Movie: Nightmare Before Christmas - October 22. North Pole High School. NPHS - Student Lot. Lot opens at 730pm, Movie starts at 8pm. Cars can run (lights off). FM Radio required. $7per person parking donation, $20per car parking donation Facebook

  • Halloween Glass Class: Ghosts and Monsters - October 23. Noon - 1pm. Expressions in Glass. Event for kids. $40, 1 hr long, sign up early. Facebook

  • Spooky Trail @ Tanana Lakes - October 26. 6pm-8pm at Tanana Lakes Recreation Area. 6-7 PM Not-So-Spooky Trail - Relax and enjoy the trail knowing no one is lurking around the corner or going to scare your socks off. Great for goblins ages 10 years and younger or those who are not for thrills and chills. 7-8 PM Spooky Trail - What secrets do these woods keep? Find out if you dare. Prepare to be spooked! Experience Tanana Lakes in all its ghoulish magic! Walk along the Sandpiper Trail to discover critters of the night, enjoy warm beverages and more! Spooky Trail is a short Halloween hike appropriate for all ages. Please bring a flashlight and park at the swim beach parking area. Participants are encouraged to come in costume. Website

  • Frank-N-Steins Beer Fest - Oct 29. Centennial Center @ Pioneer Park. 6pm-8pm. Frank-N-Steins Beer Fest is a 21+ (ID required) event featuring local breweries pouring samples, DJ, great food from local food trucks, incredible costume contests and more, all inside the Centennial Center at Pioneer Park! Event tickets include a commemorative beer stein and ten 4oz* samples from local breweries. Don't forget to wear your Halloween costume because there will be costume contest prizes for goriest, sexiest, scariest, and most original. Proceeds will benefit Access Alaska and the FNSB Pioneer Park Playground Fund. $40 advance purchase $50 day-of at the door. Website
